I bought a house

Untitled
The second last day in Sweden. Me and my mother-in-law got up and made breakfast; leftovers from our crayfish party on Saturday.

Untitled
So good.

Untitled
Then we went out for a walk.

Untitled
Saw a poisonous snake, it was dead. RIP.

Untitled
Admiring this door, how beautiful is that colour...?!

Untitled
Then I decided to buy this house.

Untitled
This will be my bedroom on bright summer nights.

Untitled
And here is my swimming pool.

Untitled
Another view of my new house.

Untitled
Beautiful flowers in my garden.

Untitled
Will always know what time it is.

Untitled
This is going to be a combined studio and guesthouse. Move in date: Next life.

Untitled
Made me laugh. It says AWAY in Swedish. Go away, dreams of that new house!

Untitled
After the walk, we were hungry again and made a chanterelle toast.

Lunch in the forest

Untitled
This is Johan's grandparents' house. After almost 7 years in Berlin, I cannot tell you what a luxury it is to be able to go to a place like this and breathe super fresh air. And the tap water, you wouldn't believe me.

Untitled
The view from the house. Forest, forest, forest.

Untitled
Johan's grandmother is so good at details. Like her daughter, Johan's mother.

Untitled
Grandmother had made soup while we were out in the forest picking mushrooms.

Untitled
The bass from the night before (which grandfather had fished). The soup was super super delicious, made of cream, some seafood cheese, dill, carrot etc. Couldn't stop eating.

Untitled
Time for dessert.

Untitled
Cream & cloudberry jam. And grandfather on his smartphone.

Untitled
Waffles! We have this every time we visit the grandparents, as well as when we visit my father.

Untitled
In the evening, we picked up some Indian take away to enjoy in the greenhouse with Johan's mum. Was a delightful night; we made a fire, listened to music and drank Kraken.

Picking mushrooms

Untitled
Monday, 3 weeks ago. We woke up at Johan's grandparents' house and had a long breakfast together (the evening before we had a lovely dinner with bass, potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms) and then Johan, his grandfather and I went into the forest.

Untitled
I had only picked mushrooms once before in my life, it was exciting.

Untitled
We found a few, I wasn't really into it because I was very absorbed by the light and the scents.

Untitled

Untitled
Johan found one that he thought was worth taking an extra picture of.

Untitled
We went back to this place.

Untitled
Hello, fluffy!

Untitled
Chanterelles & a porcino.

Untitled
We, of course, took a fika break with Johan's grandmother. After that Johan & grandfather went back into the forest and we stayed at the house drinking more coffee until they came back.

Untitled
Then we all took a short walk to see if we could find a special type of chanterelle, but they weren't ready yet.

Untitled
So much going on in this picture.

After this, we were all hungry and a delicious lunch was waiting for us in the kitchen.

Nora

Untitled
On a Sunday in Sweden, Johan and I woke up after a crayfish party with his family. Had breakfast and then went to a small town called Nora.

Untitled
Although we weren't hungry, we thought it was a good idea to have a kebabpizza again ;) It came with a crazy amount of topping, I think a quarter each would have been enough.

Untitled
There was a market in town and we passed by the temporary amusement park.

Untitled
And went to the Caribbean.

Untitled
Nora is full of wooden houses.

Untitled
And beautiful old signs.

Untitled
Johan spent a lot of his childhood in this particular wooden house, his grandparents used to live there. After we had spent a couple of hours in Nora, we drove to where his grandparents live nowadays, to eat, pick mushrooms and a sleepover party. Will show you pictures next time!

Kebabpizza

Untitled
Oh my, haven't checked in here for 10 days. This is what happens when I get stuck in making Wrist Worms and have visitors. Let's go back to the greenhouse.

Untitled
Johan's parents bought kebabpizza and we brought a secret guest; our brother from another mother ERIK. And chips & dip!

Untitled
The greenhouse is one of my favourite places.

Untitled
Stuff to put on the pizza, usually it comes on the pizza, but since Johan's parents live on the countryside, they were smart and brought home the pizzas without the veggies on, so we could heat them up in the oven.

Untitled
Kebabpizza is the most sold pizza in Sweden and isn't known in many countries. I should open up a kebabpizza place in Berlin.

Untitled
Who's doing the dishes?

Untitled
No one, we stayed in the greenhouse making a fire, listening to music and getting tipsy together, the five of us. Such a great evening.

Welcome to the greenhouse

Untitled
I will continue with some more (plenty) Sweden pictures. Welcome to Johan's parents' greenhouse! It's one of my favourite places on this planet.

Untitled
We arrived in their village outside of Örebro in the evening after a day in Stockholm.

Untitled
The night before we came, Johan's mum had made a moussaka.

Untitled
Some drinks to start our feast.

Untitled
Yum.

Untitled
I love the look of the moussaka, a bit brutal.

Untitled
Tzatziki and bread, I could eat it every day. I brought some pecorino cheese from Berlin, didn't get caught in the airport security (read this post if you wonder what I'm talking about).

What are you up to this week?
I'm busy making Wrist Worms, planning new projects & on Friday our Swedish brother from another mother will come visit us for some days. Will continue my Sweden stories this week as well, hope you enjoy :)
